Official Rules

How to Earn Stamps Through Purchases

Participants earn stamps by supporting local businesses throughout the summer.
Purchase Stamps — Earn 1 stamp for every $5 spent (before tax) at participating businesses.
Rounding Rules — Stamps are awarded in whole increments only (e.g., $12 = 2 stamps).
Eligible Purchases — All goods and services qualify unless a business clearly posts an exclusion.

Social Media Selfie Stamps

Participants can earn bonus stamps by sharing their summer adventures online.
Selfie Stamp — Take a selfie at a participating business.
Posting Requirement — Post publicly on Facebook, Instagram, or X.
Tagging Requirement — Tag the business and include #SummerPassportEdson.
Verification — Show the post to the business to receive 1 selfie stamp.

Northwest of 16 Member Bonus Stamps

Some participating businesses are official Northwest of 16 members.
Member Stamp — NW16 member businesses may award 1 bonus stamp per participant per day.
No Purchase Required — This stamp is a thank-you for visiting.
One Per Day — Limit one per day per participant.

Double Stamp Days

Special days throughout the program where stamps multiply.
Double Stamp Days — All stamps earned (purchase, selfie, and member) are doubled automatically.
Participation — Participating businesses will display the official Double Stamp Day sign.
Exclusions — Double stamps cannot be applied retroactively.

Completing Your Passport

Full Passport — A completed passport contains the required number of stamps listed on the prize page.
Prize Entry — Submit completed passports at the Galloway Station Museum or designated drop-off locations (Refillery 72).
Verification — Staff will verify stamps for authenticity before entry.

Fair Play & Program Integrity

Authenticity Rules — Only stamps issued by participating businesses are valid.
No Self-Stamping — Participants may not stamp their own passports.
Business Discretion — Businesses may refuse stamps for fraudulent posts or inappropriate behavior.

What is the Summer Passport Program?

The Summer Passport Program is a community initiative that encourages residents and visitors to explore local businesses, attend events, and discover everything Edson has to offer. Participants collect stamps in their passport and enter completed passports into prize draws-

Who is running the program?

The program is sponsored by CANOE (Cultural Arts Network of Edson), the Town of Edson, and the Edson & District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with local merchants.

How do I get a passport?

Passports are available at participating businesses, the Galloway Station Museum & Travel Centre, and select community hubs. Look for the Summer Passport Program sign at each location.

How do I earn stamps?

You can earn stamps in several ways:

Visit Stamps — Get one stamp just for visiting a participating business.
Purchase Stamps — Earn one stamp for every $5 spent before tax.
Double Stamp Days — On special dates, all stamps are doubled.
NW16 Member Bonus — Northwest of 16 member businesses may award double stamps every day.

Do I have to make a purchase to participate?

No. You can earn a Visit Stamp simply by stopping in and saying hello. Purchases earn additional stamps but are not required to join the program.

What are Double Stamp Days?

Double Stamp Days are special dates tied to community events—such as Canada Day, the Summer Festival, and the Edson Renaissance Faire—where all stamps earned are doubled. These dates will be announced on social media and at participating businesses.

What happens when my passport is full?

Once your passport page is complete, return it to the Galloway Station Museum or the Refillery 72 to be entered in the draws. Each completed passport is entered into the Weekly and Grand Draw.

Can I submit more than one passport?

Yes. Each completed passport page counts as one entry into the prize draw. The more you explore, the more chances you have to win.

Who can participate?

Everyone! The program is open to residents, visitors, families, and all ages. It’s designed to be fun, accessible, and community building.

How do businesses join the program?

Local businesses can join by contacting CANOE, or dougewoodhouse@gmail.com. Participating merchants receive a stamp kit, signage, and promotional support.
